Rishikesh is a religious place but the spot is also famous for the natural beauty and adventure. Located in the Himalayan belt of Uttarakhand, this spot falls at a distance of twenty km from another very important spot of Hinduism called Haridwar. The name of the religious spot is after Mahavishnu, the second deity of the Hindu trinity. As per the legend, there is association of the place with Shri Rama and taking the holy dip in the most sacred river Ganges is something one cannot describe in the few words. One of the star attractions of the place is the bridge made of jute rope and is also called Lakshman Jhoola. In the later years, this suspension bridge was replaced by the iron rope.
